WAPEK Smoking Blend

Viridi’s own take on kinnikinnick, one of many names for a wide variety of traditional, aboriginal smoking blends. Smoking (of a great number of herbs) is a universal past time, practiced and enjoyed by nearly every culture from across the world. This blend of mullein, yarrow, and mugwort is our contribution to this human tradition.

The ideal complement to tobacco or cannabis, this fluffy, gently aromatic blend can be consumed by itself or in conjunction with the herbal smoke of your choice.

The flavor profile is delicate, palatable, slightly sweet and resinous. It yields a smoke that is thin and pale white (we have hence named it Wapek, the Mi’kmaq word for ‘white’). Owing to mugwort’s very minor psychoactivity, it produces in the enjoyer a state of pronounced calm and creativity, having especially noticeable effects on dreams and sleep.

This product does contain stems and bark - to prevent over-drying and loss of flavor we do not finely grind or chop the mixture. You may find that you enjoy it best grinding it in an herb grinder prior to use.
